Arlene Ball, Alpha Phi

Arlene joined Tri Sigma in 1975 at Central Michigan University. Throughout her years of membership, she has served three alumnae chapters: Southwest Florida, Metro Detroit and Central Michigan. She currently serves as Chapter Advisor for Beta Tau Chapter at University of Detroit Mercy and Alumnae Advisor for Theta Theta Chapter at Oakland University. This is Arlene’s first year as a challenge donor.

"My dream for Sigma is making a greater impact in serving the needs of children, providing more leadership training, and increasing the post-graduation involvement of alumnae."

 

Angi Bevers, Beta Gamma

Angie joined Tri Sigma in 1989 at Ball State University. Angie is a past Foundation Board Chair and currently serves as president of the First State Alumnae Chapter. This is Angie’s third year as a challenge donor.

"My dream is for Sigmas to be able to imagine life—in 5, 10, 20, years—still connected to their chapter sisters as well as so many others from all over the country. Getting involved with the Foundation has helped me meet even more sisters from all over that fill my heart. I never could have imagined, back in my collegiate days, how Sigma would still be part of my life 30 years later!"

 

Heather Cruz, Zeta Psi

Heather joined Tri Sigma in 1998 at The College of New Jersey. She has held several roles, including National Vice President; Collegiate Chapter Consultant; Collegiate Coordinator; Alumnae Chapter Coordinator; Ritual Coordinator; CAB member; alumnae chapter officer; coach and lead facilitator at several leadership programs; and as a member of various committees.

She currently serves on the Foundation Board of Directors as Secretary and chairs the scholarships and grants committees. Heather is also a member of Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter.

"My dream for Sigma is for every single member to be touched by transformative leadership programming that will lead to personal and professional growth and development."

 

CJ Donovan, Beta Lambda

CJ joined Tri Sigma in 1952 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Now a Golden Violet, she has served in various offices, including President, for the Long Beach Alumnae Chapter and has attended nine National Conventions. Throughout her years of membership, she has served in many national officer and volunteer positions and has represented Tri Sigma on the Greater Long Beach Alumnae Panhellenic for over 20 years. This is CJ’s second year as a challenge donor.

 

Stephanie Everett, Epsilon Theta

Stephanie joined Tri Sigma in 1994 at Oglethorpe University. She has held several collegiate and national volunteer positions, including her current role as a member at large for the Foundation Board of Directors.

"My dream for Sigma is to have the resources to provide every Sigma with leadership training so they can find their voice and make their mark on their community."

 

Kathy Hedden, Alpha Pi

Kathy joined Tri Sigma in 1975 at PennWest Clarion. Kathy currently serves as the president of the Sarasota/Manatee Alumnae Chapter. This is Kathy’s second year as a challenge donor.

"My dream for Tri Sigma is to be able to continue providing quality leadership programs and scholarships to young women."

 

Lisa Koeller, Gamma Alpha

Lisa joined Tri Sigma in 1982 at the University of Illinois. Throughout her time with Tri Sigma, she has served as a Foundation Board member, held several alumnae chapter officer positions, and currently serves as vice president of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter. Lisa also serves as Chapter Advisor for Beta Mu Chapter at the University of Central Oklahoma. This is Lisa’s third year as a challenge donor.

"My dream for Sigma is to build empowered women, as I attribute much of my success as a direct result of my years with Tri Sigma and I am passionate in giving back to the sorority to help others fulfill their dreams."   

 

JoAnn Litton, Beta Gamma

JoAnn joined Tri Sigma in 1971 at Ball State University. She has served Tri Sigma in several national and volunteer positions and has spent nearly 40 years working in higher education. It was her Panhellenic and sorority involvement that led to her Master's in College Student Personnel and working with residence life, admissions, financial aid and academic advising. Helping college students grow has remained her passion for several years. JoAnn is an active member of the West Michigan Alumnae Chapter.

"My dream for Sigma is to offer to women a place to grow, learn and become all that they want to be. For me, Sigma was a chance to learn leadership, cooperation, consensus-seeking behaviors, time management, giving of oneself to a greater cause through volunteering, and an acceptance of me with all my strengths and weaknesses. I give to Sigma so that today’s young women can have similar, but certainly current, opportunities for self-enrichment."

 

Nora Moushey, Kappa

Nora joined Tri Sigma in 1968 at Miami University. Over her years of membership, she has served as a chapter president and treasurer for the Greater Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter. This is Nora’s third year as a challenge donor.

"Sigma provided me with valuable opportunities as a collegian and has continued to provide friendship and support through the alumnae group. That would be my wish for every Sigma."

 

Yvette Pue, Chi

Yvette joined Tri Sigma in 1982 at Pittsburg State University. Her Tri Sigma journey was a little different from the “Four Year Collegiate Experience." After spending two years as an active Tri Sigma, Yvette got married and ended up spending the next two years as an “alumna,” and not active with the chapter. After getting commissioned in the Army upon graduation, she began a 6-year active duty tour, taking her away from all thoughts of Tri Sigma.

Luckily, she found the Central Florida Alumnae Chapter and was welcomed to a fun and versatile group of Sigmas. Finally getting back to that missing element of Sigma in her life, Yvette has been active in the chapter, serving two terms as President. While she took some time away from Tri Sigma, she was blessed and overjoyed to be able to get it back in her life, proving Tri Sigma will always be there for its members, regardless of where you are in your life. This is Yvette’s first year as a challenge donor.

"My dream for Sigma, while I ‘m a strong supporter of the “pay it back” mind set, I’m an even stronger supporter of the “Pay it Forward” plan. Tri Sigma has had a positive impact on me in critical times throughout my life and I want to pay forward that opportunity for some other future member to have that same impact.  Contributing to the foundation is one of the best ways I can do that for Tri Sigma."

 

Marie Rees, Delta Xi

Marie joined Tri Sigma in 1979 at Loyola Marymount University. As a collegian, Marie served as Treasurer and Education Director. She is a long-time member of the Long Beach Alumnae Chapter where she has served as secretary for almost two decades and currently serves as president.  Marie has also been involved with the Greater Long Beach Alumnae Panhellenic for 15 years and where she has held every officer position. This is Marie’s second year as a challenge donor.

"My dream for Sigma is...to be able to maintain our collegiate chapters and even open some new ones. Collegians are the vital health and growth of new generations of sisters to come and carry us into the future, which I hope to be a bright one for Tri Sigma."

 

Jeanne Ruane Nissen, Mu

Jeanne joined Tri Sigma in 1988 at Truman State University. She has served as a national volunteer in the publications and collegiate departments. Jeanne is an active member of the Omaha/Council Bluffs Alumnae Chapter.

"My dream for Sigma is that all members find the friendships and support they need to live their best lives."

 

Veronica Seymour, Eta Omicron

Veronica joined Tri Sigma in 2007 at Sam Houston State University. She served as a Collegiate Chapter Consultant in 2011-12 and later held a position on the Foundation Board of Directors. Veronica currently serves as National Vice President.

"My dream for Sigma is that every member finds themselves empowered...empowered to use their voice, try something new, and to grow into the best version of themselves."

 

Michelle Tantillo, Epsilon Omicron

Michelle joined Tri Sigma in 2003 at Illinois State University. She has held various volunteer roles, including CAB, Housing Team, Programming Team, Character Education, and Prevention Team. Michelle has facilitated, coached, and mentored at numerous Tri Sigma leadership programs.

She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors, is the Chair of the Development Committee and an active member of the Chicago Northwest Suburban and Chicago North Shore alumnae chapters.
