The Impact

How You Support Our Work

We are committed to practicing good stewardship with all funds entrusted to us and want to take a moment to walk you through our expenses. Like most nonprofits, Tri Sigma Foundation classifies expenses into three categories: program expenses, fundraising expenses, and administrative expenses.

Our program expenses are the funds used to help achieve measurable results for the National Organization, its members, and Sigma’s philanthropic priorities. Program expenses not only include the dollars awarded to the National Organization for education and leadership programs, scholarships, and grant recipients—but also the costs associated with effective staffing and program execution.

Administrative expenses include those for financial management, including our annual financial audit; technology and systems that ensure organization efficiency; overall planning and coordination of Tri Sigma Foundation’s work; and general infrastructure costs.

To secure the annual support necessary to ensure the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and meet the national organization’s most pressing educational and leadership needs, our annual fundraising efforts include direct mail, online asks, and chapter outreach.

We want you to know that your investment is not only supporting our organization’s current work, but also our ability to adapt and sustain ourselves into the future. We thank you for the faith you put in us and hope you continue to allow us to be good stewards of your generosity.

The IRS Form 990 is the reporting form that many federally tax-exempt organizations must file with the IRS each year. This form allows the IRS and the general public to evaluate a nonprofit’s operations; it includes information on the nonprofit’s mission, programs, and finances.
