Tri Sigmas have an opportunity to be community leaders through education and setting the example of what diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities look like. With your support, the Foundation will be able to provide enduring resources to support the leadership development and educational needs for both individuals and chapters. DEI Community Grants will support Tri Sigma’s commitment to DEI education within our chapters and communities.
Alpha Chi, Murray State University
Bridging the Gap: Where do we go from here?
Partnering with Murray State University Greek Life Office, Curris Center, and the Office of Student Life, this workshop will allow participants to grasp a better understanding of individual differences, thus leading to ongoing honest conversations on the actions that can be taken to be more inclusive. Dr. MarTeze Hammonds from MDH Consulting Group will be the guest speaker facilitating an interactive exercise followed by a panel discussion and breakout processing groups. Alpha Chi will continue to partner with the Greek Life Office to ensure this is an annual program on campus.
Beta Mu, University of Central Oklahoma
Chapter Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workshop
Co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Campus Compact (OKCC) this workshop will provide opportunities for chapter members to experience the impact of inclusion in multiple ways through a workshop called The Neighborhood Immersion Experience. Through these experiences, members will increase their baseline knowledge of inclusion and equity and be empowered to serve, collaborate, and lead in advocacy work.
Eckerd Boys Academy at Candor Successful Futures Project

This grant is supporting the Eckerd Boys Academy program working to negate the racial inequities within the juvenile justice system in North Carolina by giving youth a tangible opportunity to develop employable skills and reach educational goals. 20 youth will complete the ServSafe course in the next 12 months and receive certification to show employers upon returning home, along with college and career exploration, virtual job shadowing, resume building, completing online job applications, and GED prep and testing. The author of the grant was able to secure a match via an individual donor so 40 students will receive this training!
Greater St. Louis Alumnae Chapter and Seckman Middle School

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Greater St. Louis Area Alumnae Chapter Book Study
This intensive book study will have offer members of the Alumnae Chapter to read two books, keep a reflections journal, and participate in final book study meetings. The fall book is How to Be an Antiracist, by Ibram X. Kendi and the spring book is White Fragility, by Robin Diangelo. A third book entitled Dear Martin, by Nic Stone will be a book study lead by alumnae chapter members for ten middle school students at Seckman Middle School in Imperial, MO. This project will provide the initial foundation for the members to critically think about what they have always done and transform those thoughts and actions into purposeful changes.
