The Board of Directors provides the strategic vision for the Tri Sigma Foundation to achieve its mission. The board is comprised of 14 alumna directors and two National Council ex-officio members.

Serving on the Foundation Board of Directors

The Tri Sigma Foundation Nominating Committee will accept applications to serve on the Foundation’s Board of Directors in the spring. By serving on the Board, members have the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and experience in various areas that will be useful in strengthening the future of the Foundation and Tri Sigma as a whole.

Board service is a significant commitment as well as an outstanding professional opportunity. We seek leaders who want to make a difference within Tri Sigma and within the communities where our members live. Serving on the Board requires time and dedication, including monthly conference calls and committee work. Positions are three-year terms.

We’re looking for Tri Sigma members with areas of expertise in the following areas:

  • Non-profit financial management including investments or accounting
  • Strategic leadership
  • Non-profit governance
  • Entrepreneurship

Applicants who lead with consensus-building, are good communicators, and who have a visionary leadership style are encouraged to apply.

If elected to the Board of Directors, the following events are required for all Board members. As good stewards of our donor dollars, each member of the Board of Directors covers their own cost of travel pertaining to Foundation meetings and events:

  • Annual in-person Board of Directors meetings (generally in the summer months)
  • Convention 2025 in St. Louis, MO
  • Monthly Board of Directors and committee meetings via video conference
  • Membership in Pillars of Sigma
