Meet Tri Sigma sister, Cassidy Sonnier Doucet, Alpha Mu Chapter, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Cassidy graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May of 2017 with a major in public relations and a minor in Spanish. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in communication, with a dual concentration in public relations and advertising. 

Cassidy was awarded the Lori Dahm scholarship, and she shares how this helped her education experience: 

“This scholarship means so much to me. It will take the burden off my shoulders so that I am able to focus on my studies and complete my master’s program. Neither of my parents were able to graduate from college. They did not receive financial support from their families or outside sources, and in the end, they could not balance school while trying to pay the bills. I am the first person in my immediate family to graduate from college, and now with your help, I will be the first to attend graduate school. I am so very appreciative of the scholarship funds. I hope to one day pay forward the kindness by sponsoring a scholarship for a deserving Tri Sigma.” 

Over the lifetime of the Tri Sigma Foundation, 482 sisters have received scholarships and had to worry less about the cost of education. Over 9,775 sisters have been empowered by attending Tri Sigma leadership programs.
